The purpose of this article is to investigate the provisions for secondary school teachers' self-directed professional development in Pakistan. Professional growth vital all professions, but it especially crucial teaching profession because directly influences generational change. Continuous necessary update teachers’ knowledge and skills, enable them meet new challenges changing demands learners. Self-directed way help instructors improve their expertise skills teaching. Adult learning ideas, such as according one's needs interests, were adopted development. In situations where resources are scarce, budget allocation education lesser than requirement, number students more ideal very much important. While exploring provision teachers seen positive motivational other teachers, there some faced by teachers. challenge perceive a success process that may enhance quality These must be reported administration well policymakers minimize these set proper mechanism consider value demanding teacher.
